VEX Robotics CompetitionIn the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April! |
Last month our team, Paradigm Shift,
entered 2 teams in the Vex Robotics
game, In The Zone (see game video above). We
competed in the Toronto VRC
qualifying event, the largest of its kind in
Canada, and both of our robots made it into thes
elimination quarter final matces.
Last year, team 2198X competed in the provincials,
and almost made into the elimination matches. This year we
are hoping to improve and go to the world
competition for both Vex and FIRST.
